COLOMBO, Sri Lanka – Sri Lanka welcomed its one millionth tourist to the country at 10 pm last night. The tourist was greeted by senior officials of Sri Lanka Tourism, SriLankan airlines and Airport Aviation.
The tourist was on board the UL 188 flying from Beijing, China. A Sri Lankan airlines official said they were proud to carry the millionth tourist to the country. Sri Lanka for the first time, also surpassed the tourist arrival mark of the Maldives.
