The first Spa Cenvaree in Mauritius, located in the new Centara Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa Mauritius, has been opened since December 10, 2012.

The first Spa Cenvaree in Mauritius, located in the new Centara Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa Mauritius, has been opened since December 10, 2012.

Spa Cenvaree is the premier spa brand of Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand’s leading operator of deluxe and first-class hotels.

The spa will blend the use of natural herbs and Thailand’s long tradition of health and healing, with an extensive menu of treatments and therapies delivered by highly skilled therapists from Thailand.

“The Poste Lafayette coast is a beautiful setting for this, our latest Spa Cenvaree,” said Elaine Chua, Centara’s Director of Spa Operations.

“We feel this will be a new experience for Mauritius, and we are immensely proud to be opening our Thai concept on this fascinating island,” she said.

Spa facilities include one courtyard-view couple treatment room with private Jacuzzi, two courtyard-view couple treatment suites, two multi-sensory single treatment rooms, herbal steam baths, a cozy relaxation lounge, Thai reflexology room, and a state-of-art gym.

Among the range of the spa sublime experiences is the Mauritius Sea Sand & Senses Signature Massage, which works on all senses to harmonize and rejuvenate the body and mind. This treatment features a sea sand foot ritual to wash away negative energy, followed by a head-to-toe massage using virgin coconut oil. A hot sand pouch therapy filled with heated sea sand, crushed sesame, grated ginger and warming black pepper, and dipped in coconut oil, is applied to bring relaxation to the muscles while leaving the guest in a state of complete bliss. While the body muscles are relaxing from the warm sensation of the sea sand pouch, the face is taken care of with a lymphatic application of cooling stones to leave the skin revitalized and refreshed.

For a more contemplative experience, guests may choose the multi-day spa retreat programs focusing on detox, de-stress, or beauty regimes. A bespoke facial line featuring Themae from France will be available to deliver guests lifting and firming effects, leaving them visibly younger. These facial treatments ranging from basic hydration to sophisticated anti-ageing treatments incorporate tea benefits, such as black tea, red tea, white tea, and antioxidant green tea combined with spring water.

Centara Hotels & Resorts is Thailand’s leading operator of hotels, with 40 deluxe and first-class properties covering all the major tourist destinations in the Kingdom.
