QUINCY, Mass. – Icelandair is heading to Seattle and the surrounding areas with trips to Iceland, cool Icelandair merchandise and other prizes for lucky Seattleites.

Starting October 10, 2012, Icelandair along with Iceland Naturally will host A Taste of Iceland in Seattle. A Taste of Iceland will offer the Pacific Northwest a weekend filled with Icelandic food, music, and art:

October 10 โ€“ October 13: Guest Chef and Icelandic menu at Seattle’s Staple & Fancy restaurant

October 12: Reykjavik Calling โ€“ A free show at Neumos featuring Apparat Organ Quartet from Iceland and Seattle’s The Redwood Plan

October 11 โ€“ November 11: “Fabulous Iceland: From Sagas to Novels” an exhibit at the Nordic Heritage Museum

Please note, in a previous announcement, Reykjavik Calling was incorrectly identified as a music competition rather than a free concert.

To celebrate Iceland being in town, representatives from Icelandair will be combing through the city of Seattle and surrounding areas, giving away one trip every day for three days, starting October 11, 2012.

“Like” Icelandair on Facebook, and “follow” Icelandair on Twitter to receive clues as to where that day’s tickets can be found in addition to that day’s password. The first person to arrive at the location and reveal the password will win a trip to Iceland or one of over 20 Icelandair destinations in Europe.

This is a fun and interactive way for Icelandair to meet our biggest market in the west and say “thank you” to our friends and fans in the Seattle area. Follow clues, be the first to find Icelandair and win a trip, it’s that easy.

Throughout each day, Icelandair will be handing out additional prizes, including gift certificates to travel on Icelandair, t-shirts and other cool Icelandair merchandise to unsuspecting Seattelites.

Icelandair will also have additional prizes and awards for those who help spread the word by re-tweeting with the hashtag, #SEAGiveaway.
