On the occasion of the World Tourism Day 2012, which happens to be on Thursday, September 27, the Information Center of SCTA will be holding a symposium titled “Technological systems for providing energy in hotels,” which reflects the World Tourism Organization’s 2012 slogan, “Tourism and Sustainable Energy: Powering Sustainable Development.”

The symposium will be attended by Al Hokair Group for Tourism, in addition to a number of high officials and specialists in the field of tourism, hotels, and energy supply. The symposium will also be broadcasted live on Al Eqtisadia TV from the Mina Plaza Hotel in Riyadh, between 7:30 and 8:30 pm.

The symposium will focus on a number of issues, most notably marking the World Tourism Day, the economic importance of tourism, in addition to the important achievements in tourism in Saudi Arabia this year.

The symposium will also discuss the economic importance of systems and technological devices of energy in hotels, in addition to the role of tourism in the field of sustainable energy with recourse to increasing energy efficiency in aircrafts through shifting to renewable fuels in aviation and cruise ships and technological solutions for the energy supply in hotels.
