Bahrain experiences tourism boom

MANAMA, Bahrain – Bahrain hosted over 230,000 tourists in one week from August 16 – 22 during Eid celebration, according to the Ministry of Interior.

MANAMA, Bahrain – Bahrain hosted over 230,000 tourists in one week from August 16 – 22 during Eid celebration, according to the Ministry of Interior.

More than 190,000 tourists entered Bahrain via the King Fahd Causeway, a 25-kilometer bridge linking Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, while nearly 40,000 tourists landed at the Bahrain International Airport.

The Eid celebration marks the final week of Ramadan and sparks regional travel throughout the Arabian Gulf. Bahrain is a hotspot for tourism with people coming from around the globe for its diverse cultural events, expansive shopping malls and world-famous natural attractions.
