Israeli law enforcement has confirmed the mass shooting, confirming that it is being treated as a potential terrorist act.

Two gun-wielding terrorists opened fire in Tel Aviv’s Jaffa suburb, popular with tourists, late on Tuesday night, killing 6 people and wounding at least 16 others. Four of the wounded people were reportedly in critical condition.

Israeli law enforcement has confirmed the mass shooting, confirming that it is being treated as a potential terrorist act.

Preliminary, unverified video evidence indicates that the assault involved at least two perpetrators, who arrived via tram and commenced firing upon disembarking. One of the assailants was reportedly armed with an M4-style assault rifle.

Two terrorists, identified by some local news sources as Muhammad Chalaf Sahar Rajab and Hassan Muhammad Hassan Tamimi, both from Hebron, were observed exiting the train and being fatally shot during a subsequent exchange of gunfire with municipality inspectors and private citizens with personal firearms, according to the police.

These accounts have been supported by highly graphic, unverified video footage that is currently circulating on the internet.

Paramedics remained on-site attending to the injured, which included two individuals who were unconscious and in critical condition, as reported by the ambulance service.

Simultaneously, Israeli law enforcement was investigating reports of a potential terror-related event at a hotel located in the Herzliya area of the city.

It was not immediately clear whether the two attacks were linked and authorities have not yet released any additional information regarding the second incident.
