Tourism Advisor to President of Gabon visits Seychelles

The Tourism Advisor to the President of Gabon, Annie Blondel, arrived in Seychelles by Ethiopian Airlines on Tuesday for a week’s stay with her family.

The Tourism Advisor to the President of Gabon, Annie Blondel, arrived in Seychelles by Ethiopian Airlines on Tuesday for a week’s stay with her family.

Mrs. Blondel is responsible for developing the cooperation between Gabon and the Seychelles in the field of tourism, which saw Minister St.Ange visit Gabon to discuss with her government a new strategy for their own tourism development.

Recently for the Routes Africa 2012 Forum that was held in Seychelles, Mr. Yanga, the Commercial Director of Libreville Airport, represented the Republic of Gabon and in so doing, reinforced the existing cooperation.

During her stay, Mrs. Blondel will be holding a meeting with Mr. Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism & Culture, and with Mrs. Elsia Grandcourt, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board.

She is also expected to visit the Seychelles Tourism Academy where she will meet with Mr. Flavien Joubert, the School’s Principal.

Minister St.Ange told the press that in the meeting with Mrs. Blondel, he intends to continue with the discussions started with Minister Magloire of Gabon on their participation in the Carnaval International de Victoria and on the proposal to have Gabon students in the field of tourism and hotel training use the Seychelles Tourism Academy for their further studies.
