Air Astana will launch a new scheduled service from from Astana to Omsk, Russia on 16th July.

Air Astana will launch a new scheduled service from from Astana to Omsk, Russia on 16th July. Flights to this major Siberian industrial and transportation center will be operated by Fokker 50 twice weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays. Flight KC279 departs from Astana at 07.55, arriving in Omsk at 10.30 local time. The return flight KC280 departs from Omsk at 11.30, arriving in Astana at 12.00 local time.

Two additional weekly frequencies operated by Embraer 190 on Thursdays and Sundays will commence from 1st September 2012.

Air Astana commenced regular flight operations on 15th May 2002 and currently operates a network of almost 50 international and domestic routes from hubs in Almaty, Astana and Atyrau. Air Astana flies an all western fleet comprising of Boeing 767s, Boeing 757s, Airbus A320s, Embraer 190s and Fokker 50s. Air Astana is a full member of the International Air Transport Association and is the only airline in Kazakhstan with EASA Part 145 aircraft maintenance certification. In September 2011, Air Astana passed its third annual IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), without any findings.
