Alaska Air adds seasonal service between Anchorage and Kona, Hawaii

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Alaska residents will have convenient access to some of Hawaii’s best snorkeling and the world-famous Kilauea volcano starting Nov.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Alaska residents will have convenient access to some of Hawaii’s best snorkeling and the world-famous Kilauea volcano starting Nov. 10 when Alaska Airlines begins new weekly service between Anchorage and Kona, on the Big Island of Hawaii. The nonstop seasonal service to Kona begins Nov. 10 and ends April 7, 2013. The new service complements the airline’s year-round daily service to Honolulu and seasonal service to Maui which begins Nov. 4 and ends April 14, 2013.

“Our loyal customers have been asking for Kona flights for years and we’re delighted to expand our Aloha service to give Alaskans convenient, nonstop access to another great Hawaiian Island,” said Marilyn Romano, Alaska Airlines’ regional vice president — Alaska. “Our customers will be able to enjoy Alaska Airlines’ unique brand of service to and from Kona while earning 2,876 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles each way.”
