The Seychelles Tourism Board Miss Seychelles…another world beauty pageant hit the catwalk last Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the idyllic Le Meridien Barbarons, and gracing the event with his presence was one of Italyโ€™s top fashion designers, Michele Miglionico.

The event was also attended by high international officials, as well as dignitaries of Seychelles.

The extremely-talented Italian designer is one of Miss Seychelles…another world 2012 top sponsors.

He flew all the way from Rome with 12 of his exclusive creations of haute couture. The dresses will be worn by the Miss Seychelles…another world 2012 contestants for a catwalk-show during the prize-giving ceremony that will take place after the finals, on May 30, 2012, at the resplendent traditional plantation house of La Plaine St.Andre.

Mr. Miglionicoโ€™s haute couture fashion house, reputed for its bespoke fashion, is sponsoring the crowned beauty queenโ€™s wardrobe for the upcoming Miss World contest.

The Seychelles Tourism Board re-launched the beauty pageant after some years of absence from the islandsโ€™ events calendar, and the Seychelles Tourism Ambassador, Dorothy Furneau, who greatly promoted and sought support for the event in her country of residence, is honored to have Mr. Miglionico supporting the crowned Miss Seychelles…another world beauty queen, who will be present at local and international events, as well as other important ceremonies and activities where Seychelles could benefit from the presence of its own beauty queen.

During his stay in the archipelago of Seychelles, Mr. Miglionico will have further discussions with other government officials on future cooperation and assistance towards the less fortunate children of Seychelles.

Mr. Miglionico has already been providing the Seychelles islands with his support through his fashion shows and photo shoots, using them as a link between fashion and social responsibility. One such example is Seychellois Veronique Francourtโ€™s participation in his promotional tour in Italy, where she was representing the โ€œJJ Spirit Foundationโ€ created by the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr. James Michel, so as to motivate and help young people in various disciplines including culture, art, and fashion.
