On April 11, Air Namibia launched three new routes for regional destinations. The three new additional routes will add significant capacity to the regional operations, with more flexible connecting times.

The Harare, Ondjiva and Gaborone, routes are the ninth additional to SW regional flights, serviced by Embraer ERJ-135 aircrafts, offering direct connection from the international hub.

Air Namibia Grows Domestic Network in Windhoek. The flights are timed to ensure easy connections from various points of SW geographically focused route network which was introduced in October 2011.

Air Namibia’s plans are focused on strengthening its network connections within the borders of the country, African region and the world. In addition to the growth and expansion plans the national airline plans to become an independent profit making airline by the end of the five years in 2016.

The additional routes will contribute significantly in strengthening the Namibian economy and existing bilateral business relationships of the three countries, SADC regional and the continent.

Commercially, Air Namibia’s new destinations will provide easy travel options for all individual needs.

Current Fleet: 9 Aircraft 4 Airbus two each A340-300 and 2 each A319-100, 2 Boeing B737-500 and 3 Embraer ERJ 135

Air Namibia Network: Hub city Windhoek

Europe: Frankfurt

Africa: Accra, Luanda, Ondjiva (starting May 15), Cape Town, Johannesburg, Gaborone (starting May 15), Maun, Harare (starting May 15), Victoria Falls & Lusaka,

Domestic Namibia: Walvis Bay, Luderitz, Oranjemund, Ondangwa, Rundu and Katima Mulilo.
