Hawaii GovernorNeil Abercrombie announced seven nominees yesterday, noting that he incorporated suggestions from the House speaker and Senate president.

Hospitality, culture and land use experts have been nominated to serve on the Hawaii Tourism Authority.

The nominees include Jack Corteway, a former bank executive and current CEO of Royal Aloha Vacation Club. Victor Kimura is a Kyoya Management Co. vice president. Michael Kobayashi is vice president of Tropical Island Creations.

The list also includes Aaron Sala, a Hawaiian culture expert, and Lorrie Stone, an attorney who specializes in land use and development.

Ronald Williams, the current HTA board president, rounds out the list of nominees.

The nominations require Senate confirmation.
