Techno-How Zone technology competition at IMEX America

The second annual IMEX America will hit Las Vegas on October 9-11, 2012 and will once again feature winners of the Techno-How Zone technology competition.

The second annual IMEX America will hit Las Vegas on October 9-11, 2012 and will once again feature winners of the Techno-How Zone technology competition. The contest gives meetings and events technology providers the chance to win positive exposure with thousands of industry buyers including over 2,000 qualified hosted buyers from the US and global incentive travel, meetings, and events industry.

The contest is geared towards entrepreneurial firms based in the Americas who have technology products, devices, or apps that bring a new level of value, feedback, speed, or interactivity to meetings and events.

A total of six free booth spaces (valued at US$7,500 each) will be awarded to the winners in an exclusive area of the IMEX America show floor, called the Techno-How Zone ( http://www.imexamerica.com/techno-how.html ). Places will include three spots on the IMEX America Gadget Bar, which is designed to allow buyers to get their hands-on tangible technology products.

In addition, the winning companies will benefit from year-long marketing support, press opportunities at the show, and a ticket for one representative to join the IMEX America Gala party.

To participate in the contest, applicants must meet a number of criteria. The company or product must be no more than three years old and it must have more than one paying customer and be actively selling and providing products. Company revenues must also be under US$1.5 million. Above all, the product must demonstrate genuine innovation, and nominees must provide at least one recommendation or reference from a current customer.

Last yearโ€™s dynamic winners included VIDEO TATTOO, EventMobi, EventPilot, Viridistor, MINT, and ootoweb.
