At the ITB tourism trade fair in Berlin, Alain St.Ange, the new Seychelles Minister for Tourism & Culture, said that he was honored to see that his work, effort, and hard work had been recognized by the islands’ President, Mr. James Michel, which led to his appointment as a Minister of the island republic.

“The many messages of congratulations from a cross section of the Seychelles population, from the business community, and from tourism trade partners in Seychelles and across the world, were a sign that showed the acceptance of my appointment across the board. The press community was also as receptive, and this is why you are all here at the Seychelles stand at ITB to meet with me,” Alain St.Ange said.

The Seychelles tourism trade has echoed positive vibes through a personal note received from Louis D’Offay, the Chairman of the Seychelles Hospitality & Tourism Association, the SHTA. “I have just heard the good news. Congratulations. Ton Karl must be a happy man. Wishing you all the very best for the future, but take care of your health,” Louis D’Offay said.

Messages of congratulations were also received by Alain St.Ange from most of the tourism industry’s association.

“I am happy to have been selected by President James Michel. I now have to work to live up to the challenges of my new position. I remain determined to deliver for Seychelles and for the people of Seychelles,” Alain St.Ange said.

Alain St.Ange was formally the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board.
