CARDIFF, Wales – Specialist UK based luxury car rental provider predicts that 2012 will be the year of the Rolls Royce Ghost, with the leading chauffeur driven car hire company tipping the model to become the most popular and sought after wedding car of the year.

The signs are all pointing to the growing popularity of the Rolls Royce Ghost, as only just this month the luxury car manufacturer announced the company’s largest yearly sales in the 107-year history of Rolls Royce, with 3500 cars sold throughout 2011, signalling a 31% jump in sales for the year. Sales of the Ghost model were credited with driving the boom, with consumers being drawn to the smaller and more efficient member of the Rolls Royce family.

The recent announcement from Rolls Royce heralds a new dawn for the Ghost, with the car which has often been seen as the younger brother of the Rolls Royce dynasty, climbing the ranks to take over from the long admired Phantom, as the most in-demand car from the Rolls Royce fleet.

The Rolls Royce Phantom has long since reigned supreme. As the flagship model of the high end brand, the Phantom has always been looked to as the benchmark by which all other models are measured. However, according to Rolls Royce, the Ghost has edged ahead of its rival, finding itself the car of choice for younger Rolls Royce customers and also female drivers.

Combined with the RentaRoller.co.uk’s findings of an increase in wedding car hire bookings and enquiries for the Rolls Royce Ghost, along with the recent boom in Ghost sales during the last 12 months, the leading Rolls Royce hire provider believes 2012 will be the year that the Rolls Royce Ghost finally steps out from shadow of the Phantom, to take centre stage.
