Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, introduced a web check-in facility on its flights to six major international destinations: London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and Brussels. The facility will allow passengers traveling on these sectors to check-in on the web, select their seats and print their boarding passes.

Jet Airways’ passengers will need to report at the check-in area for document verification and to check-in their baggage, not later than 75 minutes prior to the departure of their respective flights.

Jet Airways’ First Class, Premiere passengers as well as JetPrivilege Platinum and Gold members may use this facility up to 48 hours prior to the departure of their flights. JetPrivilege Silver and Blue Plus members may use web check-in 24 hours prior to their departure. From 12 hours prior to departure, all remaining passengers may use this facility.

Commenting on the web check-in facility, Mr. Gaurang Shetty, Senior Vice-President, Alliances and Interline, Jet Airways, said, “The introduction of Jet Airways’ Electronic Web Check-in facility on international routes, besides enhancing passenger convenience by doing away with the need for a manual check-in, will also enable the airline to boost efficiency in terms of volumes of passengers processed at the relevant airport terminals. This innovation is a fine example of the company’s relentless drive to excel in terms of both customer service as well as operational efficiencies.”

Jet Airways introduced Web Check-in on its domestic routes on October 10, 2005. They introduced this facility on its international flights to Singapore on April 21, 2008 followed by the other routes on May 14, 2008.
