HONOLULU, Hawaii – The Hawaii Tourism Association (HiTA) is pleased to announce the appointment of its newest Ambassador, Mr. Pankaj Pradhananga, Director of Operations at Four Season Travel & Tours in Kathmandu, Nepal.

On his appointment, Mr. Pradhananga said: โ€œI am very happy to be a HiTA Ambassador, and I am sure I can explore new avenues for outbound travel from Nepal to Hawaii. We have many clients booking travel to the USA โ€“ why not focus on Hawaii?โ€

The President of the Hawaii Tourism Association, Mr. Juergen Thomas Steinmetz, had this to say: โ€œRecently I visited Nepal. Even though the outbound tourism industry is still small, it is growing. Many more citizens in Nepal these days have the money to travel โ€“ and they do travel overseas. The United States is a prestigious and popular market for Nepal, and we should make Hawaii the crowning jewel of destinations when considering travel to the United States.โ€

The HiTA Ambassador program continues to expand, providing the establishment of new market for Hawaii tourism. Previous Ambassadors include: Pankaj Pradhananga, Four Season Travel & Tours, Nepal; Patrick Wong, World Express Pte Ltd., Singapore; Jayesh Ashar, Pearls Travels, India; Jorge Gonzales Carling & Juliana Osorio, World Tours, Colombia; and Walter R. Dias, Unique Choice, Qatar. Private businesses wanting to receive ongoing benefit from the Hawaii Tourism Associationโ€™s Ambassador Program may contact HiTA at [email protected] or call 808-566-9900 for more information.
