ICTP (International Council of Tourism Partners) is participating in IMEX America over the next few days at the Venetian/Palazzo in Las Vegas, Nevada, from October 11-13, 2011. In partnership with key industry associations, IMEX America’s unique model is complemented by extensive free education and networking opportunities.

ICTP alliance members benefit from joint marketing and branding opportunities in primary and secondary markets, which are ideal for small- to medium-sized destinations that may not have the resources for developing and implementing projects independently. Having ICTP represented at this yearโ€™s IMEX America is a coup for these members. Said ICTP Chairman Juergen T. Steinmetz, “We are pleased to be able to represent our members at this important industry event, and this perfectly demonstrates how beneficial it is to be a member of our organization.โ€

In 2011, the IMEX Americaโ€™s hosted program will deliver over 2,000 of Americaโ€™s and the worldโ€™s top-spending meetings, incentives, and association buyers โ€“ the largest-ever hosted buyer gathering at a US trade show. Eighty percent will be from the USA, all of whom place business both in domestic and international markets. Twenty percent will come from the rest of the world, with a special interest in buying in the US. In addition, a select group of 300 of the top US domestic producers, brought in by partners including Conference Direct, Experient, HelmsBriscoe, and Maritz, will attend the show.

The IMEX appointment system is unique, giving buyers complete choice over their appointments and contains an integrated messaging service. It is a buyer-led system – buyers make appointments with exhibitors (not the other way around). For exhibitors this means that they are guaranteed to meet with buyers who have a specific interest in their destination or product.

IMEX America will deliver a rich and varied education program featuring an unprecedented number of educational events, custom-built by our broad coalition of industry partners. All attendees will be welcome at inspirational education seminars, workshops, and forums, run by leading experts and supporting industry trade associations, held before, during, and after the show.
