NEW YORK – The Palace may be mum about the royal honeymoon location, but the first official overseas trip for Will and Kate — aka Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge — will be in Canada starting on June 30. Canada is one of the most aspirational and exotic travel destinations in the world (Americans: Please/S’il vous plait take note).

Given the royal spotlight and visit, it’s time to focus on the unique and amazing experiences that Canada offers vacationers. The Canadian Tourism Commission has launched a “Travel like the Royals” Facebook sweepstakes wooing contestants with a 5-star vacation for two to Alberta or Ottawa (Canada’s capital — but you knew that), two of the five destinations the royal couple will be visiting on their trip. The prize includes business-class airfare, accommodations in luxurious Fairmont hotels and excursions.
