TRANSPORTATION STATUS

AIRPORT STATUS

MARCH 16, 09:00

– Narita Airport is operating. (But please contact airlines for further and most accurate information)

– Scheduled power outage will not affect Narita Airport so far.

– Scheduled power outage will affect the operation of railways and buses.

– Narita Express and Airport Narita
JR lines from/to Narita are NOT in service.

– Keisei Main Line
Keisei Main Lines will be operated under the Saturday/Holiday schedule.

JR EAST

– Most rail services in central Tokyo such as Yamanote Line and Chuo Line are back to normal operation (with some running under normal capacity due to scheduled power outage).

– Bullet Trains
Joetsu and Nagano Shinkansen have resumed operation.

– Rail services including bullet trains (Tohoku, Yamagata and Akita Shinkansen) in Tohoku region are still NOT in service. But Tohoku bullet trains between Tokyo and Nasushiobara will resume from March 15th. )

– Tokyo Disney Resort โ€“ Closed from March 11, 2011 and the future schedule will be announced on March 21, 2011.

– Sanrio Puroland (Hello Kittyland) โ€“ Currently closed. Reopening schedule will be determined later.

– Due to concern for lack of power in Tokyo area, some major department stores such as Ginzaโ€™s Mitsukoshi department store was closed early at 6:00 pm on March 13.

– Venus Fort in Odaiba – closed from March 11-21 and the schedule after March 22 is not confirmed.

– Aqua city in Odaiba- closed at the moment and reopen date is not confirmed.

– Tokyo Tower – closed from March 12-16 and the schedule after March 17 is not confirmed.

– Shinyokohama Raumen Museum is closed at 8:30 pm

NIKKO KINUGAWA AREA

– Edo Wonderland – closed from March 13-18 and is scheduled to be reopened on March 19.

Other Area

– Gotenba Premium Outlet is closed until March 21.

– AEON Mall Narita is opened until 20:00.
