Shangri-La Hotel, Paris, has opened its doors on the French capital’s elegant avenue d’Iéna, located across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower.

Featuring 81 rooms, including 27 suites, the hotel offers exceptional views of the city’s landmarks and is Shangri-La’s first property in Europe.

Unique in Paris, 40% of the rooms and 60% of the suites feature unobstructed views of the Eiffel Tower and the River Seine below.

At the heart of the hotel is La Bauhinia, a restaurant named after the flower that adorns the Hong Kong flag.

Other amenities include Le Bar and 824 square metres of reception halls. In February, a French gastronomic restaurant L’Abeille will open; in the spring, a gastronomic Chinese restaurant, Shang Palace, will follow, as well as a spa and a 16-metre swimming pool.
