A spokesperson for Leonardo Dicaprio confirmed that he was onboard troubled Delta flight 30 to Moscow on Sunday when the plane was forced to return to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City after it suffered engine trouble.
โEn route to attend the Tiger Summit in St. Petersburg, Leonardo DiCaprio was one of the passengers aboard Delta Flight 30,โ the actorโs representative told CNN. โ[DiCaprio] wishes to commend the actions of the pilot and flight crew in bringing the plane to a safe landing.โ
The Moscow-bound Boeing 767 was carrying 193 passengers and 11 crew members when it was forced to turn back after its left engine automatically shut down, an FAA spokeswoman said.
DiCaprio reportedly signed autographs for the passengers and crew after the plane arrived safely back at JFK.
