Seychelles delegation to 2010 World Travel Market meets with Richard Quest of CNN

The Seychelles Delegation at the 2010 WTM met and discussed with the famous Richard Quest of CNN during the annual CNN function at the London Nobu Restaurant. Barry Faure, the Seychelles Secretary of State in the President’s Office; Alain St.Ange, the CEO of Seychelles Tourism; and Bernadette Willemin the Seychelles Tourism’s Director for Europe said that they were honored to have had the pleasure of the company of CNN’s Richard Quest where they were able to portray the unique selling points of Seychelles to the popular CNN presenter.

Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Tourism Board’s CEO and eTurboNews ambassador said that last year he also had the pleasure of a meeting with Richard Quest, a TV personality so watched in the Seychelles, but that this year he felt that the Seychelles delegation had managed to extend to Richard Quest an invitation to visit the creole tropical islands of the Seychelles.

CNN is a today a much-watched station in Africa, and the Seychelles Tourism Board was looking at different options of working with the news network to get ahead with their concept that “Africa must know Africa” if Africa is to become a strong continent. The collaboration with CNN is also looking at the further developing of the Americas for Seychelles.

“Richard Quest is a television personality we would like to see present one of his programs from Seychelles, and we are hoping that we have been able to convey this feeling to him,” Alain St.Ange said.
