PEACHTREE CITY, Ga.

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – World Airways, a subsidiary of Global Aviation Holdings Inc., now offers Polar route service for its customers after receiving authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Polar authorization allows World to eliminate intermediate stops for several routes, reduce flight times and save fuel.

“World has met all of the rigorous requirements for Polar route authorization, and we are proud to offer our MD-11 passenger and cargo customers the benefits of this efficient service,” said Brian Bauer, chief commercial officer for Global Aviation Holdings. “This authority is a first in the 62-year history of World Airways.”

World Airways, a subsidiary of Global Aviation Holdings Inc., is a U.S.-certificated air carrier providing customized transportation services for major international passenger and cargo carriers, international freight forwarders, the United States military and international leisure tour operators. Founded in 1948, World Airways operates a fleet of wide-body aircraft to meet the specialized needs of its customers.
