The next BTC, the Italian trade show for the meetings, events, conferences, incentive travel, and business tourism industry, will be held at the Fiera di Rimini Exhibition Centre on June 30-July 1, 2011. The summer date has thus been confirmed after the 2010 event, which closed on a positive note, amid the general satisfaction of exhibitors, buyers, and visitors.

BTC 2010 was attended by 320 exhibitors and 300 buyers (65 percent Italian and 35 percent international) from 19 countries, who generated more than 7,000 business appointments. Furthermore, the two days of the show included 27 educational seminars, which attracted a great deal of interest and were very well received: on a scale of 1 to 6, the average โ€œmarkโ€ given by participants was 4.75.

โ€œThe relaunch starts from Rimini,โ€ commented Paolo Audino, managing director of
Exmedia, the day after BTC 2010 closed, stating that the relaunch and the
consolidation of BTC, the reference marketplace in Italy for the meetings industry, will not only be brought about by the summer date (more in line with current sector requirements), the choice of Rimini as host city, and the provision of quality content and professional networking opportunities; it is also important to tailor BTC to industry operators and professionals, ensuring that it provides continuity with the market beyond the dates of the show itself.

This objective has already led to the launch of Meeting Time by BTC, the new
workshop dedicated to the meetings industry that will take place on October 22-23, 2010 at the Fiera di Rimini as part of TTG Incontri, the leading B2B tourism show.

This is a high-profile workshop, which will be held in an exclusive lounge, reserved for a limited number of exhibitors and based on pre-scheduled appointments with Italian and international buyers: in terms of added value, it will exploit the synergies that emerged from a recent survey, according to which 1,700 visitors to TTG Incontri are also interested in meetings industry products and services.

Later in November, on the 3rd in Rome and on the 4th in Milan, BTC will hold two new MICE Days dedicated to getting to know selected buyers from the two cities: these events, lasting an afternoon, will consist of free meetings with exhibitors and a final networking cocktail.
