Ontario International Airport (ONT) announced that it is anticipating more than 350,000 travelers to pass through Southern California gateway during the winter holiday season, representing a 21.8% increase compared to pre-pandemic figures, as the airport continues to demonstrate significant year-over-year growth.
During the 18-day travel window from Thursday, December 19, to Sunday, January 5, the number of air travelers is projected to reach 354,646, reflecting a 3.2% rise from the previous year. Current airline schedules indicate that over 445,000 seats will be available for flights to and from ONT, which is a 2.6% increase from last winter, with nearly 80% of these seats expected to be filled.
Passenger traffic is forecasted to surpass 22,000 on four distinct days, with the peak travel days identified as follows:
