(eTN) – The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) has confirmed that they are at an advanced stage to formally open a marketing office in China to promote more tourists to visit the archipelago. Excellent air connections via Emirates flights routing through Dubai are available six days a week to Mahe and are soon to rise to daily flights once scheduling conflicts have been resolved.

The Seychelles also discussed direct air links with China during a recent visit by President Michel to China, and while this may still be a while off before bearing fruit, it would certainly boost tourism links between the archipelago and the Far East.

Already one staff member, Ms. Stephanie Lablache from STB, is attached to the Seychelles diplomatic mission in Beijing and looking after the promotion of tourism, but the planned opening of a proper tourist office will undoubtedly help the Seychelles to work the market better.
