ARLINGTON, Va. – ARC announced today that Porter Airlines (PD), a Toronto-based regional carrier, has joined ARC to extend the carrier’s reach into the U.S. market by leveraging ARC’s 14,000 affiliated travel agencies, ticket settlement system, and technology solutions. As an ARC participating carrier, Porter can now quickly expand its services and provide more air travel options to the U.S. travel agency community.

“Porter has defined itself with customers by focusing on innovation and service, and emphasizing premium amenities at no added cost to the customer,” said Michael Deluce, executive vice president and chief commercial officer at Porter Airlines. “This agreement with ARC allows us to expand our reach among U.S. travel agents, allowing more passengers to benefit from the Porter experience.”

Mike Premo, ARC’s president and CEO, commented, “We are extremely pleased to welcome Porter Airlines to the ARC family of carriers. U.S. travel agencies look to us for the ability to ticket efficiently on airlines that matter to their customers. We believe that Porter’s growing presence in the U.S. combined with ARC participation will benefit them, agents, and the traveling public. All of us at ARC look forward to working with them.”
