United Airlines chairman and CEO named to President Obama’s Export Council

CHICAGO, Illinois – Glenn Tilton, United Airlines’ chairman and CEO, was named to the President Obama’s Export Council on Wednesday.

CHICAGO, Illinois – Glenn Tilton, United Airlines’ chairman and CEO, was named to the President Obama’s Export Council on Wednesday. The goal of the council is to double America’s exports over the next 5 years, while at the same time addressing the commitment to complete the Korea/US free trade agreement.

โ€œThe US aviation industry, specifically network carriers that fly internationally, will play a critical role in achieving the goal of doubling Americaโ€™s exports over the next five years, and will continue to be an engine of economic growth enabling global trade and the movement of people and goods,โ€ Tilton said.

Tilton, who is chairman of the Air Transport Association, also serves on DOT Secretary LaHoodโ€™s Future of Aviation Advisory Committee.
