This year’s THETRADESHOW, being held in Orlando, Florida, from September 12-14, will help participants become the travel experts their clients desire through the comprehensive education and training opportunities at the 3-day educational conference. Educational sessions will cover important topics such as technology, sales and marketing, the cruise industry, home-based agents, business building, presentation pavilions, product seminars, SHOWSTAGE, and supplier seminars. Educational highlights include:

eLearning Center
The new eLearning Center provides attendees greater value through unlimited online access to all 50+ educational sessions offered at THETRADESHOW. This new resource provides unparalleled educational opportunities not found at any other travel industry trade show.
For suppliers, in addition to face-to-face meetings with qualified travel buyers, the new eLearning Center allows exhibitors to reach agents who only take advantage of the eLearning Center post event through a series of targeted marketing messages.
“This new component sets THETRADESHOW apart from the competition as no other US travel trade show has a similar offering,” said William Maloney, CTC, CEO of ASTA, a managing partner of THETRADESHOW. “Thanks to this new technology, suppliers now have an innovative means of reaching a wider audience outside of just the travel agents who attend the show. By staying in step with new technologies and incorporating them into the unique THETRADESHOW experience, we are maintaining our position on the leading edge of the travel industry, continually evolving to better meet the needs of both agents and suppliers in today’s connected world.”

Take advantage of unlimited access to all the educational seminars at the e-Learning Center (does not include badge to attend event in Orlando) for US$99 on/after June 6, 2010 or US$113 on/after August 1, 2010
Seminars for Cruise Agents
An outstanding roster of courses for travel agents who specialize in selling cruises or for those who are looking to break into this lucrative niche will be on hand at THETRADESHOW. Additionally, the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) is offering up to 60 points toward ACC, MCC, ECC and ECCS certifications for travel agents who attend its sessions.

“Today’s consumers are met with an abundance of choices when it comes to their vacations. As travel agents, being able to correctly qualify cruise prospects and then further, match them to the perfect cruise line and ship, can be a complicated matter when you consider the breadth of the industry. A cruise vacation offers unparalleled value and is a lucrative specialty for travel agents, as well,” said Lanie Fagan, director of communications for Cruise Lines International Association. “That’s why it’s so critical for today’s travel professional to continuously hone their sales skills through courses such as those being offered at THETRADESHOW and keep on top of this rapidly changing market.”

Seminars for the Home-Based Agent
To help travel professionals who have taken their businesses home or are considering becoming home-based in the future, THETRADESHOW has announced seminars geared to home-based agents attending this year’s show.

“Education remains a vitally important aspect of any successful home-based travel agency” said Scott Koepf, president of NACTA, a sponsor of THETRADESHOW. “It’s important that home-based travel agents or those who are looking to take their businesses home take advantage of this opportunity to network with and learn from other home-based agents how to successfully market themselves and their agency.”
