Don2 Indian fans flocking to Berlin in huge numbers

BANGALORE, India – You could well say that Don2 has Shah Rukh Khan and Berlin in stellar roles.

BANGALORE, India – You could well say that Don2 has Shah Rukh Khan and Berlin in stellar roles. So much so that ‘Bollywood in Berlin – take the Don2 trail and discover the city’s best-known sights’ invite from German tourism is proving tempting enough for Indians to visit the country where the movie was shot over a period of 50 days. Result? Ever since the ‘Don in Berlin’ circuit was introduced in January this year, Berlin has recorded more Indian tourist footfalls in the past eight months than ever before. This is well borne out by the statistics obtained from the German National Tourist Office India Pool. Tourist footfalls have jumped from 36,000 in January to 3 lakh in June.

“It is a big hit and people are flocking to Berlin in huge numbers,” said Romit Theophilus, director, marketing and sales office India, on the sidelines of a German roadshow here.

Even Berlin tourist Information stores started selling ‘Don2 city maps’ to tourists arriving there to avail the innovative trip. This tailor-made package covers all ten locations in Berlin where the movie was shot.
