Malaysia Airlines flights to UK and Europe disrupted

Due to airport closures across the UK and Europe as a result of volcanic ash from Iceland, Malaysia Airlines’ flights have been disrupted.

The following flights originally scheduled to depart on April 15 and 16 will be rescheduled to April 17 and 18, respectively:

Rescheduling of April 15 flights to April 17, 2010
Kuala Lumpur – Paris (MH20) scheduled to depart 11:35 pm
Kuala Lumpur – London (MH2) scheduled to depart 11:40 pm
Kuala Lumpur – Amsterdam (MH16) scheduled to depart 11:55 pm

Rescheduling of April 16 flights to April 18, 2010
Kuala Lumpur – London (MH4) scheduled to depart 10:05 am
Kuala Lumpur- London (MH1) scheduled to depart 10:00 pm

Those booked on affected flights are advised to watch out for updates on www.malaysiaairlines.com or call the MAS Call Center 1300-88-3000 (within Malaysia) or 603-7843 3000 (outside Malaysia) before proceeding to the airport. Customers who have mobile phones are encouraged to register their numbers with Malaysia Airlines for ease of notification via SMS.

There will be a waiver on penalty fees for customers holding special fare tickets with restrictive terms and conditions until April 30, 2010. For any subsequent booking changes, a penalty fee will be incurred. Refunds are not applicable.

Customers holding tickets which allow for change of travel dates may do so without penalty fee. Refunds are allowed and subject to a refund administrative fee.

Malaysia Airlines thanks all passengers for their patience during the rescheduling of these flights and would like to emphasize that the safety of passengers and crew is of paramount importance.
