Québec: Nighttime curfew, new restrictions start tomorrow
François Legault, Premier of Québec

The ongoing situation and the impact of the measures will be closely monitored. If necessary, specific additional measures for individuals who are inadequately protected, who account for a sizable proportion of current hospitalizations, may be announced.

Québec Premier François Legault, accompanied by Minister of Health and Social Services Christian Dubé, announced additional measures that will come into force on December 31, 2021, at 5 p.m. to curb the growth in transmission of the virus. What is more, Premier Legault appealed to all workers in the health network who have left to come back and lend a hand in the days ahead.

The number of confirmed positive cases continues to rise and a very worrisome increase in hospitalizations has been observed in the past few days. Exceptional temporary measures must be implemented to avoid further aggravating the situation in the hospitals and to limit scaling back.

The following measures are being added to those already in force:

  • A curfew will be in force from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
    • Quebecers will, therefore, be prohibited from leaving their homes except in cases that justify travel, such as to obtain healthcare, for humanitarian reasons, or to engage in priority work.
    • Anyone travelling during this period may have to justify such travel in relation to the allowable exceptions.
    • Offenders will be subject to penalties ranging from $1 000 to $6 000.

Private gatherings

  • Private indoor gatherings must be limited to the occupants of the same residence.
  • Certain exceptions may apply:
    • a visitor providing a service or offering support;
    • a single individual (with his or her children, if applicable) can join a family bubble.

  • So Quebec is putting a restrictive nighttime curfew into effect starting today, and with several other seriously tight Covid protocols. Huh.

Refer for just a minute to the article headings in this particular thread. Immediately following the story about the madness in Quebec, there’s another interesting read regarding South Africa’s response to the “Omicron variant.” They happen to be LIFTING their nighttime curfew and relaxing all Covid containment protocols, and reporting that Omicron might spread more quickly, but that compared to the “original” outbreak, this version of the infection was fleeting and caused only a fraction of the original hospitalizations.

I’m betting that Quebec has a much higher percentage of Caucasian citizens than South Africa, but we were told by Dr. Fauci (among others), that the darker your skin color, the higher your risk of developing serious Covid symptoms. (That’s because of the absorption rate of sunlight, btw; it has nothing to do with your politics.)

The world has gone mad. Australia is developing what are the equivalent of leper colonies for people testing positive; for people TESTING positive–which would be a great number of carriers who never develop symptoms. That’s true for many diseases–but here we go putting well people in quarantine again. If you didn’t have the virus before you got to the cozy colony, you are bound to become infected after arrival.

Apparently my government isn’t quite as bad (yet), but they all seem to have as their first order of business the quick production of quiet, submissive, and frightened people. I’ll go out on a limb and call that communism.

I am not so ignorant as to believe that Covid isn’t real, and that millions have died from it. I had it myself and it was no picnic. But I’m not going to live in fear, stay in my tiny apartment, lose my identity by covering my face at all times, and make the government my god. There’s also an agenda here folks.

If you want the vaccine, fine. If you decide against it, fine. I could slip and fall on the ice that’s coming down outside right now and wind up in surgery too. We’re deifying those who choose not to vaccinate themselves–either that or we’re firing them. We haven’t had even a moment to study our bodies’ development of some natural immunity, although we know there’s something there. There’s a reason why your parents let you play in the dirt when you were a kid. If we never stop covering up, never mingle again with a crowd, and take every “alpha-through-omega” vaccine and booster shot, we are going to be a very sick world indeed–in every way.
