Airline to expand routes capacity

UK – Eastern Airways has increased flights and seat capacity on a number of routes from Newcastle International Airport.

From Monday, the airline will increase services from five to six flights each weekday to Aberdeen and from three to four a day to Southampton.

Larger, 50-seat Saab 2000 aircraft, providing up to 60 per cent more capacity, will be introduced on the routes.

There will also be three flights each weekday from Newcastle to Cardiff, and two a day to Stavanger, in Norway, from next month.

Chris Holliday, Eastern Airways’ chief operating officer, said: “Business commuters want punctual, convenient flights, timed to suit their travel patterns. Our increased services from Newcastle will enable us to provide a schedule to meet their needs and expectations.”

Flights from Newcastle to Birmingham and the Isle of Man are also provided by Eastern Airways.
