Twin center holidays the in thing

The Seychelles Tourist Board has just completed another sales and marketing mission in Kenya, promoting the furtherance of the existing Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries to generate “twin center” holiday business. The Seychellois tourism ambassador, Ms. Popsy de Souzaโ€“Gitonga, worked hand in hand with Ms. Sharon Rosalie, who is responsible for the East African market development and the response at the domestic holiday fair last week was according to reports received overwhelming.

In particular, expatriates living in Kenya took a keen interest in the offers put on the market, and with Kenya Airways offering two flights a week at present โ€“ the planned third flight has still to come on line โ€“ visitors can take advantage of package holidays of different length.

It was the first time the Seychelles participated in the Sarit Centre annual holiday fair and this was reportedly also acknowledged by senior staff from the Ministry of Tourism and the Kenya Tourist Board, who organize this event to entice the public to spend more time at home, or as in this case, on the beaches of the Seychelles.
