Wednesday, SC House subcommittee approved measures to allow microbreweries and specialty stores to offer limited beer sampling. South Carolina state law already allows wine and liquor sampling.

The South Carolina Brewers Association President says that she wants the state to become a travel destination for beer, much like wine enthusiasts travel to northern California. Supporters say this bill will increase sales while boosting tourism.
