Information was received late last week that the construction of the new Kigali Convention Centre is well on course, after all prerequisite equipment has been moved into the country by the contractors.

The project is due to be delivered as a turnkey project within 32 months, i.e., in just under three years, but depending on the demand for conferences in Rwanda this could be sped up by introducing round-the-clock shifts by the workers.

Next to the new conference center, according to sources from Kigali, will be a newly-built hotel, with the overall project cost being well over US$200 million.
