A dedicated trade show for Ugandan products and services will be held in Juba, southern Sudan from February 10 to 14, supported and organized by the Uganda Export Promotion Board. Uganda is a leading source of southern Sudanese importation, and the trade fair will focus on manufacturing, construction, IT, general services like insurance and banking, and will also feature health and education services, while hotels will also be present to promote their properties to the growing number of southern Sudanese business people coming to Uganda.

The Ugandan Consulate in Juba is also involved in the trade fair, and at least 50 companies are expected to showcase their merchandise and operations in Juba. Air Uganda connects Entebbe and Juba with daily air services, but busses also operate on the route, catering for the lower-budget travelers.

A business forum will also be held to promote training and education in business affairs, while the two governments are expected to sign a new memorandum of understanding to further eliminate trade and non-tariff barriers.
