The official airline of the Grammy Awards, Delta Air Lines, launched a sweepstakes today to take two music fans to the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. Delta will award two grand prizes each including two round-trip flights to Los Angeles, two tickets to the Grammy Awards show at Staples Center on January 31, 2010, hotel accommodations, and rental car. Winners departing from New York’s JFK will fly in Delta’s award-winning BusinessElite cabin.

Fans can enter on delta.com and Pandora.com/delta, where they will be able to create a Grammy-inspired radio station with questions about past or present Grammy-winning artists. In addition to the grand prizes, Delta will award other prizes to successful entrants, including two first prizes of a Medallion status SkyMiles membership, five second prizes of a US$50 SkyMall gift card, and five third prizes of GoGo 30-day in-flight Internet access.

“Delta’s network gives customers access to more experiences in more places around the world, and our sponsorship of the GRAMMY Awards is a great example,” said Gail Grimmett, senior vice president, New York. “Delta is proud to once again sponsor – and to take our customers to – the Grammy Awards to recognize the contributions of so many talented musicians who share their art with all of us.”

To support the next generation of talented musicians, Delta also will donate US$1 (up to US$10,000) to the Grammy Foundation each time an individual tweets using the Delta/GRAMMY hash tag, #DeltaGRAMMYs. The Grammy Foundation encourages appreciation of recorded music through music education programs, scholarships, and grants.
