On occasion of BIT 2008 and in continuation with last year’s event, Skal International Italia will organize the 2° Forum on Sustainable Development in Tourism, Saturday 23rd February in the Congress Centre Stella Polare, Fiera Milano Rho- Sagittarius Room with theme:

“ Economy of Experience and Sustainability in Tourism”

On occasion of BIT 2008 and in continuation with last year’s event, Skal International Italia will organize the 2° Forum on Sustainable Development in Tourism, Saturday 23rd February in the Congress Centre Stella Polare, Fiera Milano Rho- Sagittarius Room with theme:

“ Economy of Experience and Sustainability in Tourism”

The event will be opened with addresses by Sandra Biasutti, President Skal International Italy and by Hulya Aslantas , World Vice President of Skal International, followed by the presentation by Salvatore Scalisi, National Councillor for Ecotourism of the

“ Skal International Italia Ecotourism Award 2008”.

There will be three keynote speakers:

– Dr. Carlo Brondazza , Proteo srl
– Arch . Natasha Pulitzer, Synergia Progetti.
– Michelangelo Taglienti, Relti srl

The Forum will commence at 10.00 am and will end at 13.00, everyone is welcome.

While the purpose of these awards is to highlight best practices in ecotourism around the world, they are also created with the aim of acquainting the world with this new concept that puts emphasis on the importance of interaction of the physical, cultural and social environment, the traveler’s responsibility and the need for active community participation for Ecotourism.
