Russian Ural Airlines: Another emergency landing after another bird strike

Another Russian Ural Airlines passenger jet was forced to make an emergency landing today.

This was reported by the press service of the Yekaterinburg airport “Koltsovo”.

The plane was en route from St. Petersburg, Russia to Khujand, Tajikistan.

The reason for the emergency landing was plane’s collision with a flock of birds during take-off at the airport of St. Petersburg. Requesting an emergency landing, the ship’s commander reported a probable landing gear damage.

There were 193 passengers and 4 crew members on board. No casualties from the incident were reported.

According to airline officials, the plane did not receive any significant damage during emergency landing in Yekaterinburg, and was to continue its flight after refueling.
