Morocco continues aggressive marketing efforts

New roads, new air services with Royal Air Morocco Air Arabia and Morocco, the opening of brand new hotels and tour operators, as well as the opening the first two next generation resorts of the Azur Plan (Mediterrania Saidia in June 2009 and Mazagan Beach Resort late October 2009), all making 2009-2010 Morocco a more attractive and accessible destination.

Moroccoโ€™s travel and tourism industry seeks on continuing to educate, retain and recruit new agents. Travel Experts of Morocco and the Moroccan National Office of Tourism (MNTO) organized the “First European Academy of Experts,โ€ which was held from October 1 to 5 this year in Agadir, Marrakech and Mazagan Beach Resort.

The event brought together travel agents of experts selected by Morocco the MNTO in six European countries (France, Belgium, Great Britain, Italy, Spain and Germany) sought to reward the efforts of Travel Agents Experts of Morocco.

It has also validated the training online at: www.expertsdumarocpro. com, while allowing them to discover the attractions of the destination. Highlighted were Marrakech as a cosmopolitan, bustling, creative, multi-client and accessible; Agadir for its 360 days of sunshine a year, beach, wellness, sport and its rich hinterland; and Mazagan as a new luxury resort surrounded by a forest of Eucalyptus facing 15 kilometers of fine sand.

This trip to Morocco was an opportunity for the attendees to experience Morocco from an entirely different perspective, including a visit the Souss Massa National Park, which houses over 200 species of birds, Ibis bats, butterflies and mammals.
