Accor expands its luxury hotel portfolio in North and Central America

Accor announced the continued expansion of its luxury portfolio in the North and Central American region with the introduction of the vibrant and playful SO/ Hotels & Resorts luxury brand in Los Cabos, Mexico. Slated to open at the end of 2021, SO/ Los Cabos Hotel & Residences will be an exciting, fashionable and luxurious new beachfront hotel and residential address located on the renowned Baja California Peninsula on the Pacific Coast of Mexico.

The first SO/ property in Mexico, and the second in the region, the avant-garde hotel & residences will boast stylish interiors and dรฉcor combined with exceptionable signature services, lively social events, entertainment and unique experiences in a prime setting on the outskirts of San Jose del Cabo, an area well known for dramatic desert scenery and majestic ocean views.

Daring design is at the heart of the brand, and like all other SO/ properties around the world, SO/ Los Cabos Hotel & Residences will be brought to life by a celebrated fashion designer that will lend their artistic vision to the property. Ideally situated on 7.5 acres of pristine beachfront, the property will be a glamorous and vibrant sanctuary comprised of 200 chic hotel guest rooms and 36 luxury residences with sweeping beach and ocean vistas.

SO/ Los Cabos Hotel & Residences will offer an impressive rooftop experience, including two modern restaurants that will serve innovative Mexican gastronomy; a trendy lounge with outstanding ocean views, surrounded by five swimming pools; and striking outdoor event spaces with floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The hotel will also feature 7,500 square-feet of flexible indoor and outdoor function space; a SO/ SPA offering bespoke treatments inspired by Mexican beauty rituals; access to an 18-hole Nicklaus Design golf course adjacent to the property; and a SO/ FIT fitness center including a striking glass-bottom pool.
