Delta Airlines flight 5763 had to make an emergency landing at RenoTahoe International Airport today, February 13, 2019 at approximately 1:00 pm after experiencing severe turbulence.

The Embraer 175 aircraft had departed from Santa Ana, California, and was enroute to Seattle, Washington, when it had to divert to Reno, Nevada. Three passengers of the 59 on board were taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries.

Another aircraft from Salt Lake City, Utah, will transport the passengers for the final leg of the journey

Said Joe Justice in a Twitter post:ย Crazy turbulence and injuries, but the @delta crew handled it perfectly, even the emergency landing.

Delta and SSP employees along with Reno-Tahoe airport provided pizza and soda to passengers.
