Were you one of the lucky ones to snatch up this incredible deal? Asia’s biggest international airline carrier sold business class tickets from Vietnam to Canada and the US at economy prices earlier this week.

In another technological blunder, Hong Kong carrier Cathay Pacific has said it will honor its error that allowed travelers to buy $16,000 premium business class seat for only $675. The airline did not disclose how many lucky travelers took advantage of this software booking hiccup.

Last year, Cathayโ€™s computer systems were hacked, and in the worldโ€™s largest airline data breach to date, the private information of 9.4 million passengers was exposed.

Cathay can take solace in knowing that they are not the only airline to have to honor such pricing errors. In 2014, Singapore Airlines sold business class tickets at economy rates as did Hong Kong Airlines in 2017. Someone should make an app for ridiculously low airfare alerts, donโ€™t you think?
