Jamaica Tourism donates medical equipment to UHWI’s pediatric ward

The Jamaica Tourism Enhanement Fund’s Annual Christmas Treat was this year hosted at the UHWI Paediatric Wards.

Dr. Carey Wallace, Executive Director of the Jamaica Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF), formally handed over 6 infusion pumps used to administer medication intravenously, valued at $720,000, to Sister Marva Forbes, Director of the Child Health Program at the University Hospital of the West Indies (shown right in picture).

The occasion forms part of TEF’s Annual Christmas Treat, which was this year hosted at the UHWI Paediatric Wards on December 8, 2018.

TEF’s donation also included gifts for 43 patients, care packages for their parents, as well as tokens of appreciation to the nurses and patient-care assistants.
