Jamaica invites Thailand to participate in Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre

Jamaica’s tourism Minister, Hon. Edmund Bartlett  listens keenly as His Excellency Maris Sangiampongsa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Jamaica and Canada makes a point during a recent meeting at the Norman Manley International Airport, in Kingston on October 26, 2018.

During the meeting, they discussed a range of collaborative arrangements including the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre.  They also shared possible ways strengthen the relationship with Thailand by collaborating with the Jamaica Centre for Tourism Innovation (JCTI).

The official launch of the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre is scheduled for January 2019, during the Caribbean Travel Marketplace, which will be held at the Montego Bay Convention Centre.  It will act as a response to climatic events, pandemics, shifting global economies as well as crime and violence which can be devastating to travel and tourism
