New nonstop flights between Harrisburg and Fort Lauderdale to start in November

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., announced today nonstop service between Harrisburg International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., announced today nonstop service between Harrisburg International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Beginning November 5, flights to Fort Lauderdale will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The route will be flown with 117-passenger Boeing 717 aircraft, featuring 100 percent fresh air, business class, Gogo wi-fi service on every aircraft, and XM Radio programming at every seat.

“Getting to the sunshine and attractions of Florida has never been easier,” said Kevin Healy, senior vice president of marketing and planning for AirTran Airways. “Passengers will enjoy our low fares and high-quality service.”

The nonstop flight between Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Fort Lauderdale, Florida departs at 5:50 pm and arrives at 8:30 pm. The Fort Lauderdale to Harrisburg nonstop flight departs at 2:40 pm and arrives at 5:15 pm.
