Boeing Co. said that Panamanian airline Copa has ordered 13 737-800 airplanes worth $1 billion at list prices.
The Chicago-based aerospace giant said Copa now has 27 737s on order. Delivery of the latest batch will begin in 2012 and end in 2015. The airline also has additional options on eight planes that are scheduled for delivery between 2015 and 2017.
โThe Boeing 737s have been a major factor in Copaโs success, providing us with operating and cost efficiencies, and enabling us to offer our passengers world-class service and an extensive route network throughout Latin America,โ said Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines, in a statement.
