15 tourists injured in Egypt crash

Ten Germans and five other tourists have been injured after their bus overturned on a mountain road near St Catherine’s Monastery in southern Sinai.

The Egyptian bus driver was killed and two Egyptian tourist guides were also injured in the accident.

The director of the southern Sinai emergency department, Ibrahim Ali Hassan, says the injured are not in a life-threatening condition and are in a hospital in the resort of Sharm el-Sheik.

Hassan says the 10 Germans include six men and four women.

Four Belgians, three men and a woman, as well as one Frenchman, were also among the injured.
